Observe Contemporary Sculpture “Emerging Self” Through The Eyes Of The Artwork
I am flowing, curving, elegant in blue
I am who I am, but I am also part of you.
I am sleeping, resting, but wide awake.
I am waiting for the dreams to take
me where raindrops dwell.
Here and there – where symphonies swell.
I am always in motion – that’s what I do.
I am drawing you in. It’s just us two.
Let’s dance with the waves, let the world see,
Who we are, and what we could be:
A quiet brook on a sunlit morning
The roaring ocean without forewarning.
The sculpture of a woman in blue.
Embrace the flow, and just be you.

If we’re born with love and a wish to touch and taste everything we see, it must be safe to assume we’re born with greatness, too.
Somewhere along the way we learn to keep our hands to ourselves, and about this wall beloved by the world where things are taken to conform and be contained, for convenient things are easier to comprehend.
Somewhere further along the way, we find the right things to touch, that is, if we learn to love in a way that is right: with open arms and a smile full of grace.
That marks the second birth.
It may come in pieces, and not all at once – the emergence of self – for greatness finds a way.
