“To create big changes we must gamble. The questions, is how much?” deals with the way we perceive risk-taking, and the word gamble. We take risks all the time. Even with doing nothing, there are several risks involved. There are factors, beyond us and our comprehension, always at play. If we are afraid to make the big and risky decisions now, thus avoiding action, we cannot evolve further. Love and truth often hurt, but they are both gambles we are willing to take nonetheless. In the performance “To create big changes we must gamble. The questions, is how much?”, Anastasios Nyfadopoulos becomes two versions of the same human being playing chess. The performance is in dialogue and symbiosis with the conceptual artwork under the same title and addresses the fear of the unknown.
